What Our 2-Year Warranty Covers

 

If a defect in workmanship occurs within two years from the date of completion, Glamour Painting will supply the labor and materials to repair the affected area at no cost to you.

This warranty explicitly covers:

• Peeling, blistering, or chipping of newly applied paint resulting from improper surface preparation or application.

• Severe premature fading beyond normal environmental weathering.

 

Important Limitations & Exclusions

 

While we stand firmly behind our application, a paint film is only as stable as the material underneath it. To maintain a fair and sustainable policy, our warranty does not cover paint failure caused by forces outside our control, structural movement, or pre-existing material defects.

1. Pre-Existing Wood & Substrate Degradation

• Weathered & Compromised Wood: Wood is a natural, biological material. Siding or trim that exhibits advanced age, dry rot, cellular breakdown from long-term UV damage, or severe splitting prior to our arrival cannot be permanently stabilized by paint or primer alone. Our warranty does not apply to subsequent peeling on heavily weathered or degraded wood substrates.

• Exemptions by Estimate: Any specific walls or surfaces explicitly noted on your original estimate as "Excluded from Warranty" due to poor pre-existing conditions are not covered.

2. Moisture and Environmental Factors

• Moisture Migration: We do not warranty peeling caused by moisture getting behind the paint film from structural leaks, faulty gutters, roof failures, leaking window seals, or ground-level moisture wicked up into the siding.

• Natural Disasters & Wear: Damage caused by structural settling, earthquakes, severe storms, physical impact (e.g., pressure washers, landscaping tools), or animal damage is excluded.

3. Specific Surfaces

• Horizontal & High-Traffic Surfaces: Due to the severe impact of standing water, snow, and foot traffic, our standard warranty does not cover horizontal surfaces, including deck floors, stair treads, porch floors, and the top edges of handrails.

 

How to Make a Claim

 

If you notice an issue that you believe is covered under our warranty, please contact us immediately:

1. Contact Us: Email us directly address to Adam and a brief description of the issue.

2. Provide Photos: Please attach clear, close-up, and wide-angle photos of the affected areas so we can assess the issue promptly.

3. Inspection: If necessary, a representative from Glamour Painting will visit your property to inspect the surface and determine the root cause of the failure.

If the failure is due to a preparation or application error on our part, we will schedule a crew to remedy the area at the earliest available date, completely free of charge.
